How to Remove short-cut icon !!!

Hello users. Are you frustrated of having a small arrow in all your icons at desktop?? Then, this post will help you a lot! Follow- 



To Remove short-cut icon, follow the steps -

Step 1) Start regedit. (Winkey + R)

Step 2) Navigate to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\lnkfile

Step 3) Delete the IsShortcut registry value.Step 4) Navigate to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\piffile

Step 5) Delete the IsShortcut registery value.

Step 6) Navigate to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ConferenceLink

Step 7) Delete the IsShortcut registry value.

Step 8) Navigate to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\DocShortCut

Step 9) Delete the IsShortcut registry value.

Step 10) Navigate to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\InternetShortcut

Step 11) Delete the IsShortcut registry value.

Step 12) Navigate to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\WSHFile

Step 13) Delete the IsShortcut registry value.
Step 14) Close regedit.

Step 15) Logoff and… Enjoy!

Note : Please note that in some cases deactivating the arrow for *.LNK files might lead to duplicate items in the Explorer Context Menu.
